HR records, payroll periods, and performance reviews

Module Purpose: Manage employee master data, run payroll periods, and track performance reviews

Overview

The Employee module covers workforce records separate from system users (login accounts). It includes employee profiles, payroll processing by period, and performance review workflows.

The Employee sidebar item requires employees:list (or equivalent access via permissions).

A person may exist as an employee without a system login, or as a user with optional employee linkage depending on backend data.


Best Practices

  • Keep employee records current before payroll runs.
  • Close payroll periods only after validation.
  • Use performance reviews on a consistent schedule per department.
